We encourage students from all backgrounds to submit previously unpublished essays with an urban focus. Pulse accepts papers from a broad assortment of disciplines, including but not limited to Geography, Sociology, History, Political Science, and International Development.
Submissions should not exceed 3,000 words and have received a grade A- or above in a 300+ level class.
Prism Submissions

Submissions can include photography, drawings/paintings/design, poetry, short essays/prose, and op-eds. If you have a piece that you’d like to submit, but you’re unsure it will fit these categories, email us - we are flexible! Additionally, the zine will be based on a theme, which will be announced with the submission call-out.
